My husband grew up on a ranch and is pretty much the ultimate cowboy. When we met in college, I was attracted to his rugged, outdoorsy manliness right off the bat. He grew up raising livestock and riding horses in Montana and even though we married and settled down on the East Coast, he has always wanted to return to his roots. Both Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf mountain were breathtaking, although I must say that I enjoyed Sugarloaf mountain more; Christ the Redeemer was unbelievably crowded with tourists, whereas Sugarloaf mountain was tranquil, providing an amazing view of the city at sunset.

That week in Copacabana was exactly what I had needed after trudging through the jungle in Peru. It recharged my battery and I was ready for the next shoot (which I believe was in India). I look back on my time in Brazil with only fond memories, and I plan on returning during the carnival season to experience the festivities that I had heard so much about while I was there.
